I don't really have much to say right now.  Life is keeping me very busy.  But Robin has some online shopping to do, so I thought I'd put together my own list of odds and ends that we need (and can order from Amazon).  This will give me another chance to experiment with their store.  Since the last time, they've added tighter integration with Blogger.   Now when I key in my blog, there's an "Amazon Associates" panel that makes it easier for me to link over to Amazon.  Here's an example, using the old way:

They look about the same.  The only difference is that with the new way, the formatting is a little bit better.  I guess I'll stick with the new way.

As you know, I often try to talk about how my choice is "green".  The inverter idea comes about because I now do most of my work from my phone or laptop.   By doing so, I don't need an office, and can cut down on commuting.  But often I find myself waiting in a parking lot or someplace else where I don't have good access to power.  Unfortunately, my laptop battery dies after only an hour or so.  With an inverter, I'll be able to plug in to the car and keep going.  Is this "green", or will the added strain on the car battery outweigh the environmental benefits of not heating, lighting, and cooling, an office?  My gut says "probably".  It will depend on how much/how often I use it.



There's one other item that we need -- an network adaptor for our Wii.  We're getting one so that we can take advantage of NetFlix's new streaming video for Wii.  Here's what we'll get: Wii LAN Adapter.  If I think of it, I'll let you know how it goes.  Overall, I've been pretty happy with NetFlix.  It saves on trips to the video store, and with the streaming video we don't have to worry as much if we neglect to update our list.
